Just to let you all know we are safely installed at our hotel in Noumea. Weather pleasantly warm, but a bit cloudy. Hoping for spotless sky tomorrow, since we’re planning to just relax on the beach and get our breath back. The trip went smoothly, and since we slept quite a lot, it did not feel like eternity. We did not smell like flowers once we arrived, though :-)

We just had dinner at a fantastic restaurant, but we’re now so somnolent that further details of the trip and impressions of New Caledonia will have to wait until tomorrow.

It turns out that my SIM card is of no use, since I did not ask Telenor to set up my “South Pacific connection” before I left (go figure). We will buy a local SIM “cash” card tomorrow, and let you know our local number once we have it. Until then, you can leave messages for us at the hotel if you have any urgent messages.
